We were searching for a guest lecturer and got SO MUCH more! Carmen partnered with the UJ Department of Marketing Management to launch its first MarketingFit event. Carmen came up with the most creative topic titles, secured FANTASTIC speakers from her vast network and worked exceptionally hard to make sure the event is a success. She was hands-on, creative and gave us so much value-add. She even started a side-line Carmen Murray MarketingFit podcast edition. She taught all of us at UJ a lot and opened us to her wonderful world of creativity!
Carmen opened up the Department to a wide network in the Marketing industry. This has allowed us to invite more incredible people to guest lecture and teach at the Department. They share hands-on industry experience with our students that compliments the theory taught in class.
Carmen has also taught the subject “Mobile Marketing” at the Department and she excelled at lecturing. The students always rate her lecturers the highest and can’t get enough of her exceptional knowledge, high energy and creativity.
Thanks to Carmen, our Department is better connected and I’d say we’ve become more brave – she’s taught us to jump and just do. She is fearless! She has personally helped me (Beate) to take the jump to start a Podcast series (which I am now hosting in my position as the W&R Seta Leadership Chair: Gauteng).
